Our Mission And Vision

Our Mission

With hearts and minds consumed in Christ, we boldly prioritize, pursue and proclaim new life in Christ, living together in the bright light of God’s own glory and Holy Word.

Our Vision

Revive Church is a gathering of called believers with our primary characteristic being consumed in Christ (Colossians 3:15-17; 2 Corinthians 5:16-17). We are on a journey together, following Jesus Christ wherever He leads and sends us. We will be known as His disciples “by our love for one another” in the context of Jesus’ commands to His followers (John 13:35). With hearts and minds consumed in Christ, we boldly prioritize, pursue and proclaim new life in Christ, living together in the bright light of God’s own glory and Holy Word. We commit personally and challenge one another to live our daily lives within our shared kingdom culture and Core Principles:

Our Core Principles

People of God’s Holy Word
Our Revive church family values and practices the bold teaching and preaching of the Holy Bible as God’s own inerrant and authoritative Word (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 28:20a; 2 Timothy 2:15).

Graciousness
With radical hospitality, God first loved us and reached out to us while we were sinfully estranged from Him. Even as His enemies, He gave His only Son Jesus to die in payment for our inherent, rebellious sin, justifying us and adopting us (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:7-8; Galatians 4:3-7) into His own family. By imitating (Ephesians 5:1-2) God’s own incomparable expression of hospitality toward us, we radically share and spread the good news of God’s Hospitality, person-to-person, family-to-family, wherever we are.

Adoption
As recipients of God’s irrevocable adoption (John 10:27-30; Galatians 4:4-7), our new reality of church, family and community is reflected in the way we embrace one another and new believers. We embrace each other with the strong conviction to love genuinely (Ephesians 5:1-2) and to encourage one another (1 Corinthians 14:26; 1Thessalonians 5:11) to observe all things commanded by Christ (Matthew 28:20).

Worship
We worship God daily in Spirit and Truth, gathering together as His congregation in the excitement of knowing our Lord, sharing His revelation of Himself through His Word and shouting songs of praise to Him. We recognize that He is Sovereign Lord over our lives, and we are privileged to obey and serve Him each day (Psalm 100; John 4:23-24; Romans 12:1).

DiscipleLiving
Our gospel fellowship is authentically validated in our lifestyle and relationships as God’s adopted sons and daughters (Philippians 2:3-5). We seek the good health and unity of our church as we enable the full-bodied development of spiritual gifts in one another (1 Corinthians 12:1-11). At the same time, we seek the welfare of our city in which we live through our work, service and example (Jeremiah 29:7).

Prayer
We are a family that practices fervent and continuous prayer individually and together (Mark 11:24; Acts 14:23; 1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Gratitude
What we have is ours because of the Grace of God – our gifts, our resources, our lives. Without God’s grace we have nothing (James 1:17; Romans 8:32; Deuteronomy 8:11-20; 1 Timothy 6:17-19; Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8). We have been entrusted with the gifts God has provided, and we are to use them to glorify Him. We are grateful to bring ourselves in full sacrifice to the worship of our Lord God (1 Corinthians 4:2, Titus 1:7; Luke 12:42-48; Matthew 25:14-27).

Kingdom Expansion
We are a local church within God’s Kingdom (Ephesians 2:18-22) that is committed to the expansion of God’s Kingdom (Matthew 28:19-20). By shepherding our resources (people, finances, properties) and relying on God’s direction, we seek to plant indigenous churches near and far (Acts 11:19-30).
